A client portal for interior designers, on your own domain
Updated 25 Oct 2026
A client portal gives each interior design client one link to see their project: the approved quote, timeline, site photos, pending approvals and payment schedule. In the D&B Operating System the portal runs on your firm's own domain, so clients stop asking for updates on WhatsApp and every approval is recorded.
What the client sees
- Approved quotation and BOQ, with every revision saved
- Project timeline and the stage the work is at
- Dated site photos and daily updates
- Design approvals waiting for their sign-off
- Payment schedule, invoices and receipts
- Change orders with the cost difference shown before they approve
Why it saves time
Most status calls are the same three questions: what stage are we at, what do you need from me, and what do I owe. A portal answers all three without a call, and gives you a written record if a dispute comes up later.
Portal vs WhatsApp group
| WhatsApp group | Client portal | |
|---|---|---|
| Approvals recorded | Lost in chat | Logged with date |
| Latest quote | Hard to find | Always the current version |
| Payments | Separate | Schedule and receipts in one place |
| Branding | Your firm's domain and logo |
Questions people ask
Do clients need to install anything?
No. The portal opens in a browser from a link on your firm's domain.
Can I still use WhatsApp?
Yes. Portal updates can trigger a WhatsApp message pointing the client to the latest update, so WhatsApp becomes the alert and the portal the record.
