Gowtham Sai is the Founder & CEO of BRANDSWOT Consultancy. He started BRANDSWOT in 2020, after building a product that worked and watching it struggle for want of a brand, distribution and a community.
From one product to every part of a business
- 2014 – 2019
Queguide
Gowtham founded Queguide, an edtech product that helped university students find past question papers and practise for exams. The product did its job. What it lacked was a brand people remembered, distribution, marketing and a community around it. That gap decided its future, and it taught the lesson the rest of this story is built on.
- 2020
BRANDSWOT begins
He started BRANDSWOT to give businesses the part Queguide never had: brand, websites, marketing, newspaper ads, hoardings, pamphlets, and business ideas carried through to execution.
- 2023
Long-term clients
Websites for Disha Hospital and Sri Sai Narayana Hospital in Chitradurga, still built, hosted and maintained by the same team today.
- 2024 – 2026
Tech and AI join the work
Automation, WhatsApp and CRM systems, SEO for AI search, and an AI advertising wing were added, alongside identity systems and brand books for movers, hospitals, water brands, design studios and startups.

How he works
Gowtham is a hands-on builder. He works across brand strategy, identity design, film, full-stack software, hardware prototyping, electronics and 3D printing, so the person who plans a brand also understands how its website, product and systems get built.
He leads a small, senior, four-person team that works remotely from Hyderabad, and is a co-founder of Pencil Sketch Design Studio, a corporate interior design-and-build firm with offices in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
His rule for every project comes straight from Queguide: decide what the brand stands for before anything is designed, and build the systems that bring customers in, not just the logo.
