A wedding photo QR code that finds each guest's photos
Updated 25 Oct 2026
A wedding photo QR code is a code placed at the venue that guests scan to get the wedding photos. With Vajrun, the QR opens the event in the guest's browser, the guest takes a selfie, and they receive only the photos they appear in, with their name on them. The photographer controls what is released and when.
Where to place the QR
- Welcome board at the entrance
- Each dining table, on a small tent card
- Photo booth and stage backdrop
- The wedding invitation or e-invite, for guests to save the link
- Thank-you message sent after the event
What to print on the QR sign
Keep it to one line and one action: "Scan, take a selfie, get your photos." Add the couple's names and the photographer's name and logo. Print the QR at least 4 cm wide so older phones read it from arm's length.
Upload QR or delivery QR?
| Guest-upload QR | Vajrun delivery QR | |
|---|---|---|
| Who takes the photos | Guests, on phones | The hired photographer |
| What guests get | Everyone's uploads | Only photos they appear in |
| Quality | Mixed phone photos | Edited DSLR photos |
| Best for | Candid extras | The main wedding coverage |
Many couples use both: a guest-upload album for candid phone shots, and the photographer's delivery for the real coverage.
Questions people ask
How do I make a QR code for wedding photos?
If the photographer uses Vajrun, they create the event and give you the QR to print. For a guest-upload album, the album app gives you a link that any free QR generator can turn into a code.
Can one QR work for every wedding function?
Yes. One event QR can cover a multi-day wedding, and the photographer can add each function as it is shot.
Is it safe to put a QR at the wedding?
With Vajrun, a guest sees only photos their selfie matches, and the family can be shown the full set first. Nobody browses everyone's photos.
